Commonly known as the Velvet leaf Philodendron or the Sweetheart Vine, this easy-to-care, fast-growing plant is native to the Caribbean and Mexico. The velvety foliage is a beautiful deep green with boldly contrasting red undersides. This plant loves to vine, making it a true stunner that will bring cozy energy to your space!
Being that it's from a tropical environment, the Micans thrive in high humidity, warm temperatures, and medium to indirect bright light. Keep soil moist by thoroughly watering when the first 2-3" of soil is dry. Encourage more growth by supporting the plant's vining ability with a trellis or moss pole! To encourage more new growth, prune the stems just above the node (little brown stubs) during the spring and summer.
