Large Calathea Orbifolia

Oh how cute are the Orbifolia, with their round leaves and smooth patterns you could almost just eat them up! But don't-
The Orbifolias naturally grow on the floor of the beautiful tropical forests in South America. They like to be showered with humidity, filtered light, and some TLC :)
Like most Calatheas, the Orbifolias are quite demanding on their environments, so be sure you water when the first 2 inches of the soil dries, that should be about every 10 days to 2 weeks depending on your indoor environment. The goal here is to keep the roots of the plant consistently moist but not wet.
Be sure to also keep this plant in an indirect bright light spot, never keep this plant in a direct light spot as the leaves burn easily. An indirect bright light spot is a spot that's bright enough for you to comfortably read a book without opening the lights.
Time come spring, the Orbifolias can get a little kick out of a balanced ratio fertilizer.
