Full Size Alocasia 'Odora'
Also known as the Night Scented Lily, the Alocasia Odora is a perennial native to Southeast Asia and is related to the edible taro root plant. This Alocasia stands proud and tall, with huge, heart-shaped leaves that look like they’re about to fly away. More than just something pretty to look at, the Odora's leaves are fantastic air purifiers, making them a great living room addition!
LIGHT
These plants prefer a bright indirect light. Place them in a spot that gets plenty of light but not in the direct path of the bright rays of the sun. The Alocasia plant can tolerate lower light, but it will cause growth to slow down and you'll see much smaller foliage.
WATER
Keep the soil moist, but not wet. When the first 2" of soil is dry, water slowly and thoroughly enough until you see water draining from the bottom of the pot. Make sure all excess water is drained and dried to avoid root rot.
GROWTH HABITS
In the best of conditions, the individual leaves of the Odora have been reported to get around 3 feet long, and the plant as a whole can grow to be up to 8 feet tall!
