Commonly known as the Blushing Bromeliad, this epiphytic plant is native to tropical North and South America where it grows on the sides of trees! Bromeliads are very popular because they are plants that are easy to keep alive, making them great beginner plants!
Being that it's from a tropical environment, it thrives in high humidity, warm temperatures (with some cold-hardy types), medium to indirect bright light and will grow up to 2 - 3 ft. tall indoors. This makes them great to place in a bright, humid room such as your bathroom or kitchen! Or if you're in an office, this is one of the best desk plants to brighten up your space! If you're looking for a small flowering indoor plant this is the one!
Over time this plant will lose its central flower, but don’t be alarmed, this is just a natural occurrence in the plant's life cycle and soon pups will form from the sides of the plant, which you can propagate for another bromeliad, or two!
